Fraud-proof, laser-printed nameplates for commercial vehicles
The users
are European manufacturers of vehicle cabs, trailers and commercial vehicles, sub-assemblies and components for commercial vehicles.
Initial Situation
The European guideline 76/114/EWG provides for a durable, fraud-proof marking of commercial vehicles.
The nameplates have to be waterproof, UV-resistant and perfectly legible throughout the entire service life of the vehicle Imprinting with conventional laser printers is the most economic solution for situations where output levels are quite low.
Solution from ELTEX
ELTEX offers nameplates from its TOP-Print range which conform to 76/114/EWG.
The self-adhesive labels are punched on to a fraud-proof foil in the desired format and they are then put up on DIN A5 or DIN A4 sheets.
A chequered pattern remains on the substrate following any attempt at removing the bonded nameplate. It is not possible to transfer the foil label to another product. Printing is effected locally by the user on conventional office laser printers.
