Self-adhesive name plates for lorry trailers as per 76/114/EWG
The user
is one of the largest European manufacturers of lorry trailers, semitrailers radiators, interchangeable systems and motor vehicle superstructures.
Initial situation
Till 2001 the company used expensive aluminium plates as name plates. They were marked and riveted locally with enormous effort involved. At the same time, it was almost impossible to incorporate barcodes, numbering systems and variable production data with this method. Moreover, individual logos as well as a coherent corporate identity could not be implemented for cost reasons.
Solution from ELTEX
ELTEX’s self-adhesive name plates correspond to the guideline 76/114/EWG regarding plates and identification numbers for motor vehicles and trailers. They have proved convincing as an economic alternative to the expensive aluminium plate.
The name plates are individually imprinted in a thermal transfer print process with barcodes, numbering systems as well as variable production data and remain permanently legible.
ELTEX TOP PROTECT laminate labels are absolutely resistant to benzene, diesel, motor oil, water, soda lye, sulphuric acid and toluene. Their temperature resistance from - 40° Celsius to + 100° Celsius has also been proved in tests. Moreover, the Top-Protect range is also resilient to weathering and abrasion and has good resistance against high-pressure cleaning.
By using foils, ELTEX TOP PROTECT is guaranteed to be fraud-proof. In anyone tries to remove the foil plate, the word ‘VOID’ appears on the substrate, a clear indication of any attempts at manipulation.
