Initial situation

The permanent marking of very structured products associated with extreme environmental conditions continues to present a challenge to manufacturers of technical, self-adhesive materials.

Solution from ELTEX

A specially-developed and manufactured type plate material by ELTEX combines permanent durability with perfect adhesion to the structured, coated or primed axle tubes.

The axle type plate is imprinted individually in a thermal transfer printing process. It provides exact information about the manufacturer, type of axle, permissible axle load, production data and relevant approvals. A transparent, laminate foil furnished with an additional, removable overlamination label offers protection against abrasion.

The inscribed, laminated TOP PROTECT 3 in 1 label is attached using the adhesive to the rear of the axle tube after the coating process. If required, the axles are only supplied with a primer applied. The coloured coating is put on by the procurer e.g. in the desired corporate colours. The removable paint protection is simply removed after this subsequent coating process at the different location. The type plate data can then be read again.
