Initial situation

A new gear generation for the food processing industry should be equipped for the first time with self-adhesive type plates with the product specifications comprising almost all aggressive influences.

Solution from ELTEX

ELTEX has special machinery available, on which high-quality materials can be coated with self-adhesive properties. In this way extreme applications can be implemented at favourable costs even despite small unit quantities.

In terms of the current application on hand, a heat-resistant foil was treated with a self-adhesive coating and integrated into a TOP PROTECT 3 in 1 painting protection label. After imprinting in a thermal transfer printing process, the print-protecting laminate is simply folded on to the imprinted label and then attached to the primed cast parts.

Coating is effected in a dip process at 80°C. The painting protection can be conveniently removed with the help of the handy tap section on the painting protection. The inscription continues to be covered by a permanent surface protective overlamination.
