The user
Our customer is one of the leading manufacturers of pneumatic and control technologies with production locations throughout the world.
Initial situation
As is often the case, aluminium metal label were riveted to the units. As part of a general cost-optimisation process, type plate marking also had to be improved.
Solution from ELTEX
The analysis at the customer’s brought about the following solution:
Instead of the riveted metal labels, self-adhesive ELTEX TOP PROTECT 3 in 1 labels were to be used. The type plates out of self-adhesive foil material are equipped with a removable, transparent paint protection foil with handy tap besides the permanent laminate. After the coating process, the paint protection foil is removed by means of the handy tap. During the coating process, the self-adhesive label becomes embedded in the coating and the edges sealed.
The main benefits:
- Only one attachment process, adhesion before coating
- No shielding of the label for the painting process as previously required thanks to integrated paint protection
- Overall, enormous cost savings
