Initial situation

Previously, transport containers were marked with barcode labels that were produced in costly filmsetting processes. To reduce the unit costs, an alternative was needed that would be convincing on account of its lower price yet have the same quality.

Solution from ELTEX

In the meantime barcode labels are in use for the marking of two-way transport containers and storage boxes, and this several million times all around the world.

To this end, ELTEX developed a special adhesive just for plastic surfaces out of polyethylene and polypropylene, an adhesive that is still firmly connected with the substrate even after several years.

Depending upon the requirements, the ELTEX TOP CODE range supplies label sets consisting of several labels with the same code for one container, numbered and if needed in various formats. Logos as well as colour codes can also be integrated. A tamper evident version is also available.

The extremely-thin, highly-transparent surface protection satisfies various demands at the same time. On the one hand it ensures a 100% first-time read with all conventional barcode scanners. On the other hand it protects the label long-term and reliably against damage from washing processes, UV rays, cleaning agents and soiling.
