Tamper proof type plates with coating protection for compressed air reservoirs
The user
is a manufacturer of compressed air appliances, axles and pneumatic spring
units which are used in trailers for
trucks and semi-trailers worldwide.
Initial situation
Compressed air units for the automotive industry have to be permanently marked and the imprint has to be perfectly legible even after many years of application outdoors.
The customer used self-adhesive type plates out of a tamper proof polyester foil for many years. They were imprinted in a thermal transfer printing process and subsequently equipped manually with a removable, paint protection laminate.
The disadvantage of this method was that particles of the thermal transfer print became loose when the paint protection was removed after the coating process, a fact which meant that the type labels were no longer 100% legible when they were delivered.
Solution from ELTEX
The team at ELTEX developed a new version of its TOP PROTECT 3 in1 paint protection label. It convinces customers on account of the fact that it is time-saving with regard to handling, is absolutely fraud-proof and is supplied with guaranteed 10-year durability.
Once the labels have been attached to the compressed air reservoirs, they can only be removed in small pieces. It is impossible to transfer the marking to another unit. In this way any fraudulent warranty claims can be excluded.
