Economic, oil-resistant foil alternatives replace metal signs

The user

develops and manufacturers outstanding vacuum products which satisfy the very highest technical, economic and ecological requirements.

Initial situation

To reduce the procurement and production costs, multi-coloured, self-adhesive and then screw-mounted metal signs for the vacuum pumps were to be replaced by self-adhesive foil alternatives.

Solution from ELTEX

Depending upon the type of pump, rectangular or hexagonal type plates are used which incorporate warning information or filigree, vacuum-pump graphics.

The entire inscription has to be resistant to chemicals, corrosion and oil. The self-adhesive label may not slip at temperatures of +90° Celsius and has to remain firmly attached to the surface envisaged for it.

The solution as per the TOP PROTECT 2 in 1 principle is convincing due to the high-quality, the abrasion-resistant print image and the easy handling properties, even in the case of the special hexagonal shape. The acrylic adhesive used bonds reliably even at high temperatures. The multi-coloured pre-printing is effected in a letterpress process at ELTEX, the variable data are printed locally at the customer’s in a thermal transfer print process.
