Exact marking of precision measuring equipment
The user
develops and produces convenient, reliable and precise measuring equipment for the measurement of lengths and thicknesses. The main customers consist of engineering companies as well as automotive and aerospace manufacturers.
Initial situation
Permanent imprints underscore the excellence of high-precision quality products.
This applies particularly for measuring equipment that is deployed in rough, industrial environments. Conventional thermal transfer printed labels are often inadequate to meet these demands. Carbon particles from the thermal transfer ribbon often split away when in daily use. The imprint fades and the data becomes illegible. Distinct identification and traceability of the equipment is no longer ensured.
A new series of electronic indoor and outdoor measuring apparatus was therefore to be equipped with an improved, abrasion-resistant marking.
Solution from ELTEX
The entire marking comprises the address label, the side-frame sticker as well as one or two type plates that are designed as spares. A flexible foil with a very strong adhesive is used in the qualitatively optimised version, a product that is convincing even on circular substrates having a small diameter on account of its low restoring forces.
Moreover, the print is protected permanently against abrasion by a transparent laminate foil as per the TOP PROTECT 2 in 1 principle.
